    Anytime there is money and service involved there needs to be a written agreement. You are doing the smart thing.
    My guild lost members when one committee chairman had a verbal agreement with a service. The member thought one thing was understood and the service thought another was understood.

    I ordered it last night. It should be here in 2-3 days. It looks like it will have some other good ideas, too. It will be a good addition to our quilt show supplies and will help future chairs. Besides, the quilt show budget will pay for it.

    You might try contacting your state extension service. They hire judges for their county and state fair and usually have a contract to be signed by both parties. At least we do here in Oregon where I judge. Good luck.
