    I definitely wouldn't do an all over design. I think I am leaning towards a fairly conservative design, perhaps a circular feather pattern in the white areas, and then a nice flowing feather through all the coloured chevrons, i.e. diagonally across the quilt in multicoloured thread, filling in with variations of meandering and stippling.

    As a handquilter I would echo quilt inside of each of the differnt color sections. I would also put some kind of curved motif inside of the large light colored cross shapped sections. As for the borders I would do some kind of simple chain inside of every other border and echo quit the other ones. It is a lovely quilt.

    i never even thought of outline stitching. or inline stitching, as it were. :lol:
    that would look great. i think i would then go with the circular feather design inside the white area.

    do you think the curve and the straight would look good together? i have no idea what i'd do in the border. probably just cry.

    i wish i made it.
