Just did the same thing, simple enough quilt from hand stitched bow tie blocks from an estate sale, HAD to practice applique, circles needle turned, then there was still 3 darling blocks left, one clock, on pillow shame and throw pillow later I can finally get it to her. Just in time too my DS was diagnosed with lung cancer last week. I'm waiting impatiently to hand deliver.
