My ASG chapter made a "Twin Towers" quilt. Each member made a 6" x 6" square. It was hung on display in a local Hancock's and then was going to the county fire department as a memorial. It was stolen. We still think it was an inside job cause the quilt was hanging from the ceiling.

the bleach incident happened at Houston in 2002 I believe it was. It was a personal vendetta, and the guy was caught and punished. There is a website http://lostquilt.com that is only stolen quilts - very informative.

It just makes me sick. Here you think that all quilters are wonderful people. This is just a reminder that while "most" are....some are not. I hope Karma finds whoever took it.

This really sickens me. It is a real slap into reality that people are bad. Not all people, just the few who do things like this and ruin it for others. I am just shaking my head with the thought that someone would have the gall to steal another's property. It is not that I am nieve, but I was just not raised to accept those actions. Somehow, you can only hope that they will be found and returned.

This just makes me sick to my stomach. All that work! So sorry for your loss. Hope someone sees this and finds it and returns it.

My heart sank when I read the title and now after reading the link I am sickened. What the heck is wrong with some people?! I hope it is somehow found and returned to the owner. Very sad.

I sure hope this is more of a case of someone mistakenly taking it rather than stealing it. True quilters don't steal from each other!

It is frightening to know that that hundred of thousands of people all around us are dishonest and have no respect for other's property or feelings.
