This didn't work for me because it still makes both sides even, so when you fold the binding, the front color shows on the front AND back. You need to have a narrower front side and wider back side for it to be reversible. The best example I found is to cut the front binding 1" and the back one 2", then sew together using your 1/4" seam. This way the back is wide enough to show in the back and have some to tuck in. I hope this makes sense.
