No ideas. Just made one Veteran Grandson ( Army 10 Years.) a RWB quilt. I will give it to him Thanksgiving when he visits. I also made him a red, white and black quilt.

Thanks for the design. I was thinking square in a square but that did not make it very big.

The guild I am with asks for 12 1/2 inch blocks that I can make. I am not confident enough yet to make a whole quilt for Quilts of Valor. Still learning. But I thought if I made blocks the more talented folks could but them together in a good design. Husband and I went to Quilt Museum and saw so many beautiful QoV.

Those are pretty blocks for your QOV.

You could add sashing strips to make them the 12.5 inch size. What size are the blocks you have completed already?

I think they should be squares in a square but I do not have a design. I tried adding the second square but still so small that when I added a border it was way too big.

I too, am a QOV member. Love making and awarding quilts. Can't wait to see the end results of your efforts. I usually check the QOV FB page often to see the awards photos. My group did a total of 5 quilts over the Veterans Day weekend. Three awards went to gentlemen, age 100 yrs old and WWII veterans. Love the look on their faces when they see the quilts, the Certificates with the Gold seal etc. Most have no idea it's a huge organization. I have way to much fun.

Nice blocks! Someone will be able to make a nice quilt with those.

Thank you for viewing these little squares. I have some new ideas and once I settle on one or two designs and I build the block, I will post again. In the midst of helping out our adult children so it may be a week or so.
