What a wonderful idea! a memorable quilt in honor of Lucy. I wish I thought about it for my dog. I'm sure it will be appreciated by the vet, staff and all the others that knew Lucy. I'm sure you will find the pattern that best fits with your idea. Quilting it will certainly help with your grieving process. I'm still praying for you.

Am following this thread. My son is a veterinarian and they are remodeling the clinic. I want to make some quilts for the new spaces.

OOPS! I made a mistake. I confused Swannie with the lady whose dog, Lucy, was put down a couple of days ago. I am sorry for the mix-up. Blame it on a very senior moment.

    Swannie,

Did you decide yet on the quilt? Here is one more pattern for you that I finally found again. I couldn't find it when I posted earlier in your thread.

Of course, it is now in my cart.

There is a pp book called It's Raining Cats and Dogs that has some cute blocks. Only ...well...cats and dogs! Maybe a mouse, but no other animals. Its been out for a long time, if I remember well. You can find used copies on Amazon...

Sharon Malec has many nice paper pieced dog patterns. Just google her name.
