If you look under main for the 16th Quilting angel ask this question and another quilter responded with a site that had some good ones. I also was interested and bookmarked it. I am sorry I don't know how to put the post in my message. Marilyn

I found an old book, Lap Quilting with Georgia Bonesteel. Oxmoor House, Inc. Birmingham, Alabama. 1982 It gives excellent tips for hand quilting (I'm sure you could machine quilt them too). It also gives numerous patterns that adapt well to this process. Over 70 traditional designs and projects to piece by machine and quilt in your lap.

Quilt as you go. Go to www.baysidequilting and look for fun&done. Thats the one I am using. They have a video for you.
on any block you have you can just make the backing a inch larger around the block. That is what I have done.
