    It's very heavy so you don't want to tote it around at a quilt show if buying there. I know that for a fact. Arrange to buy it and be able to stash it somewhere.

    It is heavy. For me it would work best if I had a dedicated space for it. I borrowed my friends for a week and was able to cut up a lot of fabric. It's great for strips and yardage like someone said earlier.

    I've had mine for years and literally couldn't do without it. It h as helped preserve my hands!

    My cutting station is a folding kitchen cart that is just the right size and height. Guess where my Alto's usually is? I store the Alto's under my media center in my living room, where my cutting station is.

    I can access all 4 sides of the cart without problems. Of course I do use my other mats and all too.
