Does anyone out there have the Alto's Quiltcut 2 system and if so how do you like it? Do you feel it's worth the price? Is it really as accurate as they claim?

I'm considering ordering it but I'd like to hear opinions from anyone who might have it or has had the chance to use it. Any help would be appreciated :)

I have one. It's very good quality. I prefer my Go for cutting shapes but the Alto is great for cutting yardage. One important thing: you have to be able to access it from both sides of the cutting table to cut squares and diamonds.

Absolutely love it. Talked my sister into getting one too. She loves hers too. Would buy again in an instant.

The two-sided access definitely isn't a problem for me. Thanks for your input :)

If you can get to a show, they frequently have a booth and a special of some sort.

I'd love to but I'm in Canada and they don't currently sell it up here..though they will ship up this way. Oh well..I'll take what I can get ;)

I just attended the Machine Quilters' Expo this past weekend which was held here in Providence. Unfortunately the vendor at this show was not offering a show special, or a QuiltCut2 would definitely have come home with me! I remember seeing it at last year's show, and it was the only thing I regretted not buying at the time. I'm pretty sure it was a different vendor last year (they have various vendors around the country with different sales territories), becuase I know they were offering a special; I think it might have been the carrying case as a bonus. This vendor was selling the system for the normal price of $229 and offering no extras, so I couldn't justify buying it right then at the show. Basically the only thing I would have been saving is the cost of shipping. I'm willing to wait a bit hoping for a better deal.
