Hi Everyone, I am new here, love reading the posts and looking at the beautiful quilts everyone has done. I love to put together tops but am terrified of quilting them and binding them.
Ok now on to my ?. Do any of you brilliant women know of sites and patterns, perferably free to make prayer shawls, I want to start a ministry in our church. And how big are they, have done crocheted ones before, but love the look of the quilted ones. Thank you for any help you can share with me. Love this board.

We usually do 45"x60" for our prayer quilt ministry, for infants and small children 36"x36". Rail fence is a favorite pattern for me and Turning Twenty. A rag quilt works really well. Just whatever you wish. Some ppl even just layer 2 pretty co-ordinating fabics with batting.Sew up pillow case style. There are lots of free patterns and ideas online. Just Google free patterns, prayer quilt ministry and the Linus project for kiddos. It is a wonderful blessing that flows both ways!
