quilted purse

please, can i ask you ladies a question, i want to make my own quilted fabric and then make a purse, how can i sew a pocket on the inside of the purse without the sewing lines showing on the outside. you can tell i don't know how to sew much, but i've been reading on here and want to do some little things. thank-you.

The easiest way to do this would be to add a matching or contrasting fabric as a liner in addition to the quilted fabric. Then simply sew the pocket to the liner. However, if you prefer to use the underside of quilted fabric for the liner . . .you can handsew the pocket to the inside before constructing the purse by simply stitching through the lining layer only. Alternatively . . .consider a larger pocket on the outside of the purse to hide the stitching you make when stitching on the pocket to the lining.
