I received the same offer a couple days ago. I thought about trying it. They said they would refund your $50, and you get to keep the stuff they've sent....I think it would be pretty cool, but $50 seems like a lot of money....and I have dial-up, so those on-line videos would be of no use to me. Depending on how much you shop at JoAnn's, you could get your money back from the discount...I thought the magazine deal was nice.
    I'm still undecided, too...????????????????

The American Quilter's Society offers a $25 membership and you get the Joann's discount card to use all of the time and a discount to rent-a-car and magazines and offers to buy books cheaper than retail, and also videos, and I think I got a pin or something, etc. I was a member for a couple of years but I let it run out this year. It sounds like this Quilter's Club of America has a lot to offer.

I'm wondering if a lot of the quilting resources that are now free will be commercialized in a similar way?

I think I might try it. I shop online at those stores and I am in Joann's a lot. I decided this year that I am not going to buy anything unless I have a coupon or it is on sale. The prices have just been skyrocketing. This would allow me to at least get 10% off every time. I would certainly make back my $50. I could always cancel if I don't find it useful. Thanks for the help ladies!

I joined a few months ago and think it is a good value. I agree it is hard to find time to view available things on QNN. Then I forget to dig out my 10% off card at Joanns. Going to have to work on that :) . Of course, I get way too many quilting magazines and have not read all of them by the time I get the next one.

I got the packet too and wish I had read what y'all wrote as I tore it in half and put it in the recycling! Oh well!

Most local guilds offer the joanns card also....most dues are less than 50 and even without spending any more you can get a lot of free knowledge if you just sit there

I'm a member and really enjoy it. Discounts from Fons and Porter, Joann's and lots of other places. You get the QNNtv with it (24 hours quilt programs) There are lots of other discounts too plus free patterns from different websites that would normally charge you. I think it's worth it.

Well maybe I had QNN included because I joined from the QNN website. Not sure. I was thinking the Quilters Club was through QNN. I was surprised to learn that it was a Fons and Porter project. Either way I think it's a great deal.
