Quilters Club of America - Anyone think it is worth it?
#21
I joined and was a little disappointed. I tried to watch the videos but too much starting and stopping till I got bored with it. The Joanns discount is nice and so are some of the others. I loved the Easy quilts magazine but thought 50 dollars was a lot to spend just for that. It's about time for me to resubscribe and I am struggling with the decision. I figure I'd have to spend $500 at Joanns or online to recoup my money minus the cost of the magazine. I don't think I spend that much in a year just at the places where the discount is available. So...I'm still debating. Maybe I'll try to watch the videos again and see if it is any better.

Fons and Porter bought QNN, thats why it is no longer free.
I just have QNN for 24 bucks a yr. The videos are all I really care about.
Dont think I will renew since Quilterstv is free.
I love looking thru magazines but have never made a quilt from one so it is really a waste of money for me.
This board takes up all my spare time so dont care about another club.

I joined too, but won't renew. The magazines haven't been ones I would purchase and the videos- I just don't have time for them. I use the Joann's discount card, but it won't cover the $50 in a year subscription cost. I read the newsletter that's sent, but I will be hard pressed to get my value back. The freebie mag- Quick Gifts, was probably the most useful.
Probably won't join any others either. I have way too much "stuff" now to keep me going until I retire.

$50??? that sounds high. I paid $35 my first year and got my renewal letter for $40. It includes the Easy Quilts subscription and access to the free patterns, tv shows, and discounts. They have a message board with lots of great people but I hate the format so I don't bother going anymore. I did a quilt along there and had a lot of fun doing it.

I'm due to renew and probably won't. I get a 15% off card from Joanns as an educator & as yet don't have a computer in sewing room. Not enough time to watch Enough videos. I would like to ask if anyone belongs to Alex Anderson & Ricky Tims Quilt Show. Really liked the free show I got to see and have really liked the two magazines of theirs I've purchased. Anyone belong? Worth it more than Quilt Club/ QNN?

I have joined now for several years. You do get to watch the shows anytime and as many times you want. You also get some free stuff and goodies. I like it they have alot of series you can watch you should check it out.
