Anyone else have these? I got some at the quilt show and tried to put them on my pins last night. I have size 1 and 2 pins. I kept bending the pins...did exactly like the instructions said...but kept bending them!!! Any tips would be great.

shellyp...Eleanor Burns used those I believe and there is a little tool to use w/them so you don't lose all your thumbprints and feeling:))I think they are cool. Here you can actually buy the plastic tops and add them to the pins. I bought the gizmo that is a wood handle, rounded end w/out a hook and there are 2 grooves on the end to use to guide the pins closed. I haven't picked up the plastic tops to go on the pins yet. She (Eleanor)used them real quick. Maybe someone on here can remember where that video is of her using that gizmo:))Interesting yours were breaking...I wonder if you aren't the only one??Skeat

Yep, those are it. I bought them at the Quilt in a Day booth at the Expo. I got the Kwik Klip (wood handle thingy) with them. I've tried to put my pins in the plastic and they bend. I'm pretty fustrated.

I use them, but my daughter put them on the pins. As far as I know, she didn't have any trouble getting them on.

I have them and love them. I had no trouble getting them on. I purchase both the pins and covers from Quilt in a Day. You only squeeze the top portion of the pin in the middle to get the covers on. I used needle nose pliers to do this (very fine tipped one). These covers are finger savers. I also use the Kwik Klip with them. These plastic covers are so easy to handle.

I guess I need to go back with a fresh mind and be a bit more gentle. Thanks.
