Is there a set number of pieces in a layer cake or jellyroll or other set cuts of fabric???

I believe it used to be 40 ... but now there seems to be no set number.

It's best to read what the packaging says in order to know for sure. Or if ordering online, confirm in advance, so you will not have any surprises.
