I have done one quilt to cover the bottom of my bed. I had to use the older stuff with black lines, and the newer stuff with gold lines so that I had enough. The older stuff with the black lines left 'smut' all over my beautiful sewing machine(thank goodness for goo-gone!), but the gold was no problem. I found that washing your fabric when using this product makes it much easier to keep the fabric pieces attached until the end. Would I do it again with 1" squares? No, I might try again with bigger squares, but never again with 1' squares. My eyes are too old for that craziness!

Once handled a quilt pieced with that grid stuff, did not like the additional bulk. I can't justify using for simple piecing of squares,sashings......maybe more complex pieces? Not for me.....just careful cutting, piecing....and if too complicated, just turn the page...I do this for relaxation, not to create more stress! JMHO
