    Default Quilting is Addicting!!

I've been at my daughter's for a week and have so enjoyed my time with her and my grandchildren. They are just precious at 4 and 11 months. Tomorrow I go home and am so looking forward to getting into my sewing room, getting some reorganization done, and back to work on my projects! I miss my sewing!

You sound like me - I love to go and visit relatives, but it is so good to come home again and do something enjoyable for myself...not that visiting isn't enjoyable, but the comfort of home is great.

When I take trips, whether vacation or visit friends/relatives, I always try to take hand work. Hand embroidery or applique, just something to keep my 'sewing' bug happy. There is bound to be 'down' times and that is when I pull out my sewing. But there have been times that is just sits in my bag, because I am have to much fun or just can't find the time. But it is always nice to have just in case!!!

Glad you had fun with the family but I understand wanting to get back to your own things and this addicting hobby. I guess we'll really never get tired of it.

I visit my sister in Oregon every July. She is a quilter too. We always pick a project to do while Im there. Her daughter brings over her spare machine for me and we sit across from one another at her sewing table and sew. We have made full size quilt tops during my visit. We go to Quilt Shops and their annual Quilt show is always going on at that time. We have so much fun. I really look forward to our time together.
