The two guilds I belong to have libraries, but very little, if any activity there.....senior center now has more books than people to read them.....only one ladies church group around here and they are not interested...so I'll just box them, and try again in the spring in my garage sale, our public library no longer takes donations.......new building...getting too fancy..want all new stuff..on our tax $$$$$$

I share with friends, sell some here, leave them on the guild free table, and donate to the library. One of our quilt shops had a swap book shelf. When you brought 2 books in, you could take one from the shelf for yourself. If you didn't bring any in, you could purchase from the shelf at something like 1/3 of the original price. It was a good resource. They also had a shelf with patterns, and everything there was free.

The guild that I belong to had a book/bookmark swap earlier this year. Each person made a pretty bookmark and brought it in a book they no longer wanted. We put them all out on a table and took turns choosing one. Everyone went home with a new-to-them book and a handmade bookmark. It was a lot of fun.

Hi all.
I have found in my stash, as I am getting ready to pack for a move, a box with the pieces for the Labrynth (*spelling) quilt. Does anyone remember which magazine this pattern was in? I almost always put the pattern with the cut pieces, but seem to have lost this one. I would like to finish this one for my DB who recently lost his wife. It really depicts the feelings one has early on after losing a spouse. I sure hope someone can remember which magazine it was in. Thanx in advance

IBQUILTIN is looking for the April/May 2012 Quilt Magazine that has this pattern in it. Do you think you have it & would be willing to part with it for her?

I work at our library used book sale. I love it when people donate quilting books and magazines. I get first crack at them!! They go quick on the shelves. Donate, someone else will pay a small price and support your library!
