I have the chance to buy a gently used quilting cabinet with the lift and am wondering if the mechanism breaks down or needs repairing sometime. I want it for my Janome 6600P and it is quite heavy. The lady who owns it used it for her Pfaff quilter's companion and didn't have any trouble with it. Just wondering.
Thanks for any help/guidance you can give.

I don't think you will jave any problem at all. I would buy it.

It doesn't get moved often. But it is wonderful to fmq on a flatbed surface. You do know that you will have to have a custom insert made to fit your machine.

I wasn't sure about that but it makes sense and won't be a problem. Thanks for the input.

I have a lift on my sewing cabinet. Have never had a problem with it. It is very, very sturdy!
