    Post My Christmas projects...

Not quilting but: my Mom hand embroideried this + 6 others. She is 89, in a nursing facility & likes to keep busy. She doesn't watch any tv but does Word Searches, reads a little + embroidery. I wanted myself, my 3 bros, my 2 kids & 2 nephews to have something that she did. She's also done other blocks that I want to put into each of my DGK graduation quilt (2 boys, 5 girls)(Oldest DGS in 2 yrs, very next yr his bro & oldest DGD, next yr her sis, then 3 DGD 2 yr apart. They are growing way tooooo fast. My 2 boys & 3 smaller girls are now living in China. Christmas just is not the same without little kids around.... But I manage, with God's help.... I pray that He will give me health & mind to complete these projects...

I've added some edgings to tea towels and made placemats for a good friend. That's it for now. My mom is working at hand quilting the double wedding ring quilt for my DS and his wife, but I don't think it will be done for Christmas. We may present it at Christmas (unfinished) anyway, as they will be here and Mom can see how much they like it. Then it will get finished and sent to them.

The saying goes,,,,, When you are a child Christmas seems to come every 5 years, when you are an adult Christmas seems to come 5 times a year!!

Oh dear, I'm feeling like a lazy-bones. I have thought about Christmas presents but then brushed those ideas aside. Plenty of time, its summer, but a 137 days!
Better log off and enter the sewing room and get the one on the frame finished (only just started), then the next top that needs quilting, and then maybe I'll be able to at least think about a Christmas present or two. Bye bye happy quilting!

I am working on a tumbler quilt with Christmas pattern. Christmas quilts are a favorite to make when it's hot and sticky, so cheerful. Mine has snowmen!
