Due to illness, I haven't responded to you or anyone. Thank you for your answers. I will get back to you soon. Pesky gall bladder.

Icedblossom, thank you for your response and I apologize for the delay in mine. My machine is a Babylock Destiny 2. It is so much smarter than I am. Most likely, I am trying to run before learning to walk and should save my Christmas quilt until after achieving more advanced skills. I know my already assembled sandwich can be done in the hoop or maybe even on the hoop. Yes, there are an incredible number of talented ,peoplehere on Quilting Board who can point me in the right direction. Again, thank you.

Your machine has built in stippling or motif designs. You can make the size according to the block or sashing size.

You want to make some samples first to get the settings like you want them. Stitch out the samples on a practice sandwich. I write them on index cards for later reference.

    Hi Luray
I hope your pesky gallbladder gives you a quiet holiday season.

I have a Brother Dreamweaver 2 that I absolutely love! I just finished my first quilt in the hoop. Using the largest hoop 9.5 x 14 and a discreet pattern for each block (not edge to edge).

However I did buy this book by Amelie Scott and am looking forward to trying her method.
