Welcome to the board and I want to say that your quilt is absolutely stunning. Ironically I have the same pattern top which I have not quilted because I didn't know what to do with it. I hope you post your finished quilt so I can get an idea as to what to do.

This looks to me to be a good quilt for diagonal straight line quilting.quilt parallel to the block sides across the entire quilt. Have your lines spaced so that the spacing is divisible into the block size. For example if blocks are 8 in then space your line 1, 2, or 4 inches apart. Or even 1/2 inch. You can do it with your walking foot.

Beautiful quilt. I do mostly FMQ.

That is what I think I would do, too.

Circles would be hard without FMQ unless you have rulers for your DSM--I like this idea and think it would be a great addition to your quilt--which is really awesome!

Your beautiful quilt has a lot of visual impact with the very interesting fabrics and the illusions in the pattern. That makes it very interesting to look at. I think the quilting should be simple such as STITCH IN THE DITCH or a simple meander with thread that blends in. I would let the lovely fabrics and pattern make the statement and the quilting take a restive mode.

There is so much motion already in this quilt, that I'd do stitch in the ditch. Let the fabrics do the pop of the design. Beautiful and a treasure with memories attached!

Your quilt does have a lot going on , So I would stipple it also. With a light thread you don't want
to take away from you quilt top. ( Beautiful quilt )
