How do I get out the preprinted quilting lines? I have washed the quilt in the tub, but the quilting dots are still there.

I can't get out the preprinted quilt lines. Does anyone know how to get them out? I have it soaking in the bath tub, but they are still there.

Can you contact the store where you purchased it from, or the manufacturer?

Try rubbing white vinegar into the dots with a soft toothbrush.

No, I can't contact anyone about the quilt, as my sister gave it to me and I have no idea where she bought it. Thanks

Thanks, I will try the vinegar and see if it works. I still have it in the tub with cold water and a little dish liquid.

cold water will help -set the color- so ....
you probably wont get them out. depending on the quilt of course maybe you could use a stain removeing product like shout? but warm water is going to probably be needed...use cold water when you don't want your marks to disappear...sometimes some agitation is necessary too...can the quilt be washed in a washer?...with warm water and some detergent?
also, if you heat set the marks (pressing) it will be more difficult

I just went to the grocery and thought about Oxi clean, but didn't know if it would take out the color of the flowers and stems. I will get some and try it on the white background though and see if it works. The instructions says to dry clean, do you think that would take out the lines?
