Thanks lyric girl.
Mine will not be a business purchase, but I do not want buyers remorse, which has been a thought in the back of my mind, the concern of not wanting it that is.
I haven't done a lot of quilting on my domestic, because I do not find it enjoyable. From the trials that I have done, i believe I want a long arm where I stand.
This week I am planning on visiting my local Bernina shop.

Thanks pewa88.
I am 57+, so yes the longevity of what I want to do is on my mind. I am in good health, so that is not a concern, just age I guess. Not that I consider myself "OLD". But I think you know what I mean, lol.

Oh my goodness!!!!! Just love this group!! You are all so giving of your knowledge, feelings and experiences. I couldn't have asked for any better feed back.
Customer service has always been a big deal with me, maybe because I spent a portion of my life providing that, lol.
I agree with you all that I don't want to go small and then go big soon after, I think my plan will be to go as big as I can from the start.
Adding the computer is now on my consideration list. I just want to enjoy the experience and share the joy.
All of the tips have just been over the top!!! I am still going to my local Babylock and Bernina shops to see what they have, but from what you have all shared with me, I believe it will either be an APQS or an Innova.
I will check back for any other input from you all and will let you know about my visits.
This is something I have wanted for several years, but has been put on the back burner. I lost my dad and a sister in 2011, lost my mom in 2013 and then one of our daughters was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in August 2013. She was a true warrior full of love for those around her and helped anyone who found themselves in the sisterhood of breast cancer, she went to heaven October 2017. So now I am just trying to find joy in my love of sewing again.
Thank you all so much again.

Is there a way you can rent one to see if you like it?
I agree with Sewbizgirl- if you buy it and love using it who cares if you can't justify the cost?
I don't have one and don't really have the desire but if I did I'd figure out a way to get one
I bought a Juki TL2010Q and my FMQ is getting lots better. With anything larger than I can handle I send it out.
Good luck, whatever you decide!
Edit- Oh my, you've had so much loss. I'm so sorry. I hope you get whatever you want.
