My son has a black belt in Karate. No one makes fun of his quilts. He also machine quilts with my daughter. He is a great piecer and quilter. Men have a very different approach to quilting than women. They will tackle a much harder pattern than we do. just my humble opinion.

I think men are a lot less afraid to try something new - plus, they don't really care whether someone else will like their quilts LOL
women have been brainwashed forever into thinking somebody else's opinion actually means something...

We have a local quilter that is a trucker. He has a sewing area all set up in his truck. It is quite a sight to see! He is a character and everyone looks forward to his being home and participating in quilting activities at the store.

Hello Glenn: I'm a male quilter. I'm on here all the time reading and responding to threads. Welcome to the site. There's all kinds of helpful info on here from men and women.

ok..men..you need to send him a message..... I went to an all man made (literallly) ha! ha! quilt show last year. How amazing was their work!! My brother in law does all of the sewing in his household. He even made his sister a prom dress years ago when they were growing up and couldn't afford a new one.
