Mine is when people from my church come up to me and say"oh,youre a seamstress, can you alter a 3 piece suit my hubby has,and how much would you charge to make a bridal gown"? GRRRRR!Or when they say,"oh,she sews such pretty blankets"...and my favorite.."how long does it take you to knit a quilt"?

To be asking questions like that, they obviously don't know anything about quilting,so I'd just let it slide and very briefly tell what quilting is and what you would charge. They're in church, they are not asking to start a arguement. They just know nothing about quilting.I have learned that most of the time when someone asks me a stupid question,it's not to be snippy. They need to be educated, and then some of them actually get interested in making quilts themselves.

I agree with you, I almost always toss my flyer without using most of the coupons or get thread with them. So Joann listen up.

i also get annoyed w/ the "short cuts" on fabric due to the clerk not being able to cut straight. I have found myself buying an extra 1/8 or 1/4 yd to make sure. Kinda torks my taters to have to do that though.

i also use my 40% coupons for thread, pins, and other notions that i use on a regular basis.

Joanns used to do that - but they are no longer allowed to do it. That is why certain things - like cottons - seem to always be on sale for 30% off.

can't you still use the coupon to get the item at 50% off instead of 30% off?
NO!!! We used to be able to, but, no more!!
