    I love poems & thought I would share this one with all of you. I have found several on the internet & will post one from time to time .. hope you enjoy. :lol:

    It's Your Quilt

    It's OK if you sit on your quilt.
    It's OK if your bottle gets spilt.
    If you swallow some air
    And you burp, don't despair,
    It's OK if you spit on your quilt.

    There are scraps old and new in your quilt,
    Put together for you on your quilt.
    If your gums feel numb
    'Cause your teeth haven't come}
    It's OK if you chew on your quilt.
    We expect you to lie on your quilt,
    If you hurt you may cry on your quilt.
    On a cold rainy night,
    Don't you fret, you're all right,
    You'll be snug, warm and dry on your quilt.

    This would be a great poem to put on the card for baby gift quilts. It will let the mother know you want it to be loved and used up, not kept as an heirloom. I made quilts for friends baby as long as 13 years ago and many of them still sleep with their "night nights".

    I enclosed that poem with the quilts I made for my new nephews. It's one of my favorites.
