I make quilts because I love all of the process and to use up my large amount of fabrics. Of course, I must stop buying more. I always try to find someone that I think needs a quilt. No way could I find room to store all of them.

It's a form of therapy for me. I can be completely stressed out but some form of quiltmaking....whether it be piecing, applique or hand quilting really relaxes me. And I have something to show for it later. A win win situation!!

Mostly I quilt for family and friends. I have only done maybe 30 or so over the years... but now I have a huge stach of fabrics and am looking to learn more. This was an interesting question and I am glad you asked it. I learn a little more each time I read the answers to all these questions.

Ditto there is nothing like the pleasure of knowing that a quilt i gift will be used and loved for years to come and when I see a person using it I cant explain it how it makes me feel.

No show for me. I see my mistakes all the time, but everyone else who doesn't quilt doesn't see them, so I am happy. They are for everyday use. People say: I want one, and when I tell them I have $65.00 in material, and 23 hours of labor, and how do you put a price on that. They shy away. My quilts are all in my house. For family so far. I have made about 8, and have stepped out of the box of blocks and am starting my first one with triangles, shoo fly pattern. It has been fun. I want to learn to stipple, all I have ever done is in the ditch..&.rag quilt. How do you start to learn to stipple, 1st step?

Oh, good luck Renee! I love to see people just getting started in quilting! It opens a whole new world, and you will love every minute of it. BTW, I LOVE your signature line!

Mine are made for daily use. I have only shown two of my quilts in our guild's local quilt show.
