I'm relatively new to the craft, and I'm not even interested in showing my quilts anywhere   But I make them because Its fun and a great way to express my love for the receipient (wow, that's spelled wrong??) I've finished wall hangings, and am working on a couple bed quilts, one for me :-D and one for my granddaughter. And I'm also in the middle of one my sister wants for the wall in her stairwell..hm seems I've aquired one quilting skill..UFOs  I started this whole thing because it looked like fun, and the really practical side of me says its OK to spend on stuff that will get used. The whole thing just gives me a warm fuzzzy feeling of a connection with the women that have gone before me..I'm thinking of you Mom and Gramma...

Quilting is my means to be creative. I love the process of experimenting with color and pattern. Learning new skills and applying history and math to my fabric work pleases me. I make quilts to give them. I still don't have a quilt of my own for my own use. :D

Mine are strictly for everyday use - for babies and young great nieces and nephews and each of my nieces and nephews as they married. I'm in the baby quilt mode right now - lots of babies! I love to quilt and I love to give, and what better way than to give a gift of warmth. The looks of those that receive are precious.

I make mine for use and decoration. I love making tablecloth, runners and wall hangings. My cats love sleeping on them to.
I started this hobby after visiting Amish country and falling in love with the beauty of the quilt.

I quilt because I love watching the transition from big pieces of fabric, to cut pieces, to blocks to final product. The creative process keeps me interested and I love the warmth and function of the finished product. Can't wait to actually finish one of my own! lol
