I have heard of quilters doing this. Some folks use a print backing & quilt on the printed pattern. It just depends on how nice your bobbin stitches look.

I've quilted quilts from the back, especially if the backing has a cute design I can follow!

I have quilted from the back before especially when it is easier to see the lines drawn. Just makes sure to check everything before you start.

I've also quilted on the back. For some reason my bobbin stitches actually look better so I quilt from the back when it works out for the quilt.

Your quilt! Your choice. Have seen some really pretty ones done that way! Often the backing designs works for the quilting pattern. Anxious to see when you're finished!
