Sometimes you just have to get away from it all....and take your quilting with you.

Where do you go for quilting retreats?

Here's one in nothern Michigan. Very reasonable and has a large workroom and lodging for up to 8 guests.

I go there to shop and for monthly Saturday for teas. It's in an older two-story home. The front porch along the front is the work area ( can fit tables for about 50 people for the tea). The shop is attached long the side of the house. You can cook there in a galley kitchen or go out. There is a handicap accessible room.

It's clean and modest but a very pleasant atmosphere. Caroline is having a $30/night special right now. She's a delightful person.

Lake Huron is 30 minutes away.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Branch,_Michigan

    It's in Ogemaw Co.

I've never been there either...and it's right on my way up north to the U.P.
