Yes Craftybear thank you for this list. Every year there are 30 women go on a retreat to Charm Ohio. (there is a waiting list every year.) This is in Amish county and has loads of quilt shops. I would add a list of local shops and direction to them. Also any local color that might be of interest. Lyman's is a old fashion store we always go to, it has wood cooking stoves and the like, it is loads of fun!

I divide my days up. Thursday is for shopping and resting from the trip. Friday a little shopping sewing a bit and dinner out locally. Saturday sew , sew, sew and more sewing. Sunday is for sewing and packing to go back home.
Also I take board games, cards or hand sewing for night time things to do. I set at the machine to long I need a break.

Reading that list made me tired just thinking about basically moving my sewing room to another location. Guess I'll just do my own private sewing retreat right here in my own home. LOL! Now to figure out how to pull that off....hummm......

I've never been to one. Do you really get that much sewing done?

I just sent this list to all the ladies who are going on our retreat next week. Thanks.

Lucky for us, many things will be provided: iron, cutting mat, ott lights, ironing stations, surge protectors

    Another VALUABLE item ---

Those little sticky address labels you get in the mail.

They are a great time saver for all the drawings and contact cards you end up filling out.

Well CraftyBear, I shared the list with my DH and he now thinks my sewing room is perfect and I really don't have to go to a retreat because it would take me 3 weeks to get ready to go and 3 weeks to get everything back where it belongs when I get back home. In fact, he has offered to buy my any thing for quilting that I would like to have as long as I don't pack up and go to a retreat.....sigh.
