Can anyone tell me how to use a ruler that has angle lines on it? It has 60 45 and 30 degree markers but I don't know how to place it on the cloth in order to cut the angle. I'm sure it must be simple, but it escapes me.

I put the angle mark on the edge of the fabric and cut along the straight edge. I don't know is this is the "right way" to do it but it worked for me. I was just cutting diamonds for my lonestar quilt.

That is what I do as well, the one I use the most is the 45 but those that don't have a 60 degree ruler it is a good one for the OBW.

Don't feel bad. I'm a drafter and I still have trouble with the angled rulers. Sometimes I look like a deranged juggler just to get it aligned right. lol
