When you start working on something, do you get anxious or excited about getting it done? I am working on a quilt that I started and put back for awhile. Well now I am on a roll and I fell like I want to consume my time after work and do nothing else. (NO HOUSEWORK, COOKING AND JUST DO NOTHING BUT QUILT).

I feel like that right now! I just want to left alone with my iron, sewing machine and inspiration. BUT reality sets in again, and I have to fold clothes(but the fabric is so much easier to fold and iron for some reason), cook food(even though everyone in my house has opposable thumbs and can work the dang stove) and clean up(you would think washing up is so simple a caveman could do it, but NOOOOOO) before I can rearrange those patches of fabric into my own creation. *sigh*

I know how you feel. And it's worse when I have to set up and take down my sewing area daily if I want to sew.

Yes, sometimes I get so involved I hardly stop to eat (or fix dinner) I have a few "quick" meals up my sleeve when that happens. Fortunately I have a nice area in the family room that I don't have to put my stuff away, it is my sewing space!!

That's why they invented crock pots and candles. Crockpot so you start dinner early and don't have to stop and fix it. Candles so you can't see the dust on the furniture LOL!!

I love this answer. I'm going to try the candles. It will free up more time for quilting.
