Hi all, I have always liked quilting (and cross stitching) without a hoop. Today I decided to try a hoop with the quilt I'm doing for a Christmas gift for my son and his wife. I am trying a spoon (I know I've heard of it somewhere) under the quilt to stitch against. I am rocking the needle but see that rocking the spoon seems to help also. Do any of you have advice or tips on how to use the spoon? Thanks so much.
