I like to order from Red Rock threads, $4 shipping no matter how many spools and I haven't found a thread I don't like EXCEPT Coats and Clark general purpose

I saw the Horizon at a show recently and fell in love. It is an amazing machine but right now I can't afford to replace my 6500. I love the Janome machines. I use all types of cotton thread and the only thing my machine doesn't like is the embroidery thread when I am trying to use some of the fancier stitches on the machine.

I use Superior So Fine for piecing and Mettler Silk Finish with Bottom Line for quilting. I get the So Fine and Bottom Line from
    http://www.kenquilt.com/

I usually get the Mettler from http://www.ericas.com

http://www.sewthankful.com is a good place for thread. Also try http://www.kmquiltingsupply.com I bought several different types recently from http://www.joann.com while it was on a 50% off sale so I could try different brands.

i spent years struggling with threads to quilt with...would spend big bucks at quilt shows just to get it home and find it broke constantly or just did not work well...then i found connecting threads...now my new goal is to own a spool of every thread they have (and they have lots)
i have had great luck with all i've tried so far and the prices are good!

Long Creek Mills in Gastonia, NC is where I like to get my thread. I have had good luck ordering via the web also, however, my daughter lives near there, so when I visit her, I like to go to the store and then to Mary Jo's Cloth Store.
