    Default quilting a twister heart

I am making my first twister quilt. I used a charm pack and took a black and white photo to check my contrast, BUT when I cut my twister blocks, I found everything kind of mushed together. I am a little disappointed in my result. I am hoping I can retrieve it with my quilting. My sister recommended scribbling for the quilting. So would I do that around the outside to make the heart pop, or should I do some special quilting with the twister blocks within the quilt.. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It turned out really pretty! I think I would SITD around the heart part first. I think I would then use the Snowflake design from http://www.theinboxjaunt.com/ Look through the Tuesday Tutorials to find it from about a week ago?

I think the block is pretty, but sorry I have no suggestions for the quilting part. I really like the twister patterns.

When you click on her site, look at the top under the title for Quilts/Tutorials and click on it. You will get a drop down and look for the title Free Motion Quilting Tutorials(Motifs) and click on it. This will take you to a page with the #1 Square Flower, #2 Swirls &Twirls, #3 Nikki's Puzzle and #4 THE SNOWFLAKE and lots more. If you want to see what the motif looks like by other people, you can click on her Flickr page fir some samples of other people posts.

I would SITD around the heart, do a tight stipple on the background and loosely quilt the heart.
