It's fantqstic your husband is doing great.
Do I understand right you are a 'machine-sewer'?
otherwise it could be a good time to start sewing hexagons or applecores using the english paperpiecing method? It's easy to take along, doesn't take up much space etc.

Good luck to your husband and I hope you get back to quilting sooner rather that later.

We are almost 3 hrs. from home, so running home for a quick session at the sewing machine isn't an option. So I just come on this board and see all the wonderful quilts and get new ideas. So glad your DH is doing well.
My daughter had a bone marrow transplant 3 years ago and we were away from home 3 months, so I feel your pain. Good luck and God bless

Hope your husband will have a fast and complete recovery. I'm sure its difficult for you but hang in there. When you get home you'll be able to quit without all the stress you must have been under before his surgery. THen you can put the pedal to the metal.

That's what hand work is for! I'm going on vacation in a couple of days, and I must take some needlework with me. I enjoy hand sewing!
