When I was in Shipshewana last month I got a big box of quilting magazines for $2.00 the whole box
also another big box of quilting books for $3.00 the whole box
I was doing the happy dance
also found an Amish glider chair for $10.00 regular $499.00 or higher

I freq garage sales, goodwill. I occasionally find fabric, notions, buttons, ribbon, misc craft items, craft books, etc.
It's the first place I look for supplies.
plus a treadle machine, a Necchi machine, a White machine... My husband is my quilting enabler.. he LEADS me to these items....

you can find just about anything.. fabric, notions, machines.. you just need to be at the right place at the right time..
I was fortunate to get real feedsacks in an auction ( 3 boxes) for $30.
