Joanie2 - Great quilt!!!!! I like the modern design! What size is the small inside square? Is it 2 1/2" and then finishing to a 6 1/2" with the border? Thanks!

Yes it does get cold in Michigan, but the farther north, the colder it gets!

I have 2 that wanted college quilts. The boy wanted a real warm one so I used Warm & Natural. The top was school motto and backing was wide strips of the 3 school colors. He also wanted pillow cases so I bought him 2 good pillows and made pillow casess for 1 then school motto and for other school colors. The girl only wanted the school motto. They were both happy with how I made them

Ok, for those interested -- I'm willing to share my design with you.
    Block size is 18".
Each of the small blocks has a 2 1/2" sq center and 2 1/2" sqs on either side of center and then 2 sides that are 2 1/2" X 6 1/2". The block is 6 1/2" unfinished.

    The larger blocks are 6 1/2" x 12 1/2" unfinished. Starts with 2 1/2" X 8 1/2" center,2 sides same size and then 2 ends are 2 1/2" X 6 1/2".

There are 30 blocks total, 5 across & 6 down.

Lawsonmugs -- even at 61 you could be going to college. I guess you'll have to make your own.
