Did anyone get this calendar? It states on the cover "includes instructions and patterns for 12 quilts". However 3 of the quilts are the same pattern except for the color choices and size. I'd say that there is then only 10 patterns. Do you agree? Just a pet pevee of mine when someone tries to trick you.

I don't get this one, but I agree with you. (Actually if there are 3 of the same you only have 9 quilt patterns.) In fact I would be tempted to write a letter to the publishing company and complain. Of course I am at that age now, when it don't bother me in the least to complain, I'm with Maxine.

    :D

I thought about writing to complain (because I'm also 'at that age'), but thought that maybe I was the only one who thought that the publisher was in the midst of false advertising.

Just a thought, were the sizes different for the 3 quilts with the same pattern? Sometimes they claim it is a different pattern if they give you a size variation. So you would have 10 patterns with 2 size variations and they might call that 12. I don't have it so I couldn't check.

Yea they are different sizes...but only because they have a wall size, a lap size and a full size...but they are all the same other than that. 9 patches and plain blocks alternated/

That is their claim to 12 then. I have had this happen before with tote bag patterns. I don't like it when they do that, but it is "accurate" as stated. At least they will say that it is.

I got that calendar and am happy with it. The three that seem the same are all a little different. Maybe you would only want to make a smaller size-that blooming 9 patch is not an easy pattern to keep straight. I agree it seems a little sneaky that you actually get only 9 different patterns but I still like the calendar. How about the box you can get that say 365 different quilt blocks, a lot of them are variations of the same block. What I really hate is when I buy a quilt calendar and there are no patterns and I didn't read close enough to see that--did that only once. Still I used it for ideas.
