I am not sure where to post this, but i was thinking of starting a way we can help those in Nashville and surroinding areas that are affected by this awful flood.

I was thinking of donating any kind of sewing related item esp quilts. These people lost everything a nice warm quilt may help.

I am going to call the local red cross tomorrow and see how we can do this.

If anyone is interested let me know.

    thank you

Let us know what you find out. Many people will probably need quilting supplies, too. Since I'm downsizing, I've found a lot of duplicate books and other sewing/quilting related items and I'd be more that happy to donate them.
Actually, I'd be happy to donate them to any one that needs them.

I'll help out. Gladly for those in the U.S. I wonder why they don't have commercials to help our people. Or maybe they do and I've missed them.

Thats a great idea. I don't have the experience to actually send anything - but I love the idea!

Sounds like a great idea, but you need to contact somebody up there and see who you need to talk to about the donations. I know several big name country musicians homes are in shambles because my wife's cousin is married to one. The area they live in (Dicksonville) was hit pretty hard.
