Here's one I did. The pattern is Lucky Stars by Atkinson Designs. Very easy pattern!

I actually discovered batiks myself with my new project. It's for my husband's aunt; her favorite colors are blue and purple. No pink, yellow, or green. But I found some great batiks and a great pattern in one of my magazines. I just need to cut a few setting triangles and then sew my strips together and add a border and then I can sandwich and quilt!!

A D9P would really break up the two colors. A twister would also would be pretty. Might have to use white in the border. I made two and they are not hard to do.

I have fabric that's purple and orange. Any two color design would work.

Purple and orange are great together. Do a Google image search of 'purple and orange quilt' and you'll see some stunning examples. How about a New York Beauty in small scale batiks? Yum!

I made a string quilt with purples and oranges for a baby gift. The parents loved it so much it is on the wall.

I am always amazed by how color choices can change a quilt. Nice quilts.
