    Default Rag quilt mistake

I hope I do this right, my first post. I am making a rag quilt. I started the snipping and noticed I have 2 blocks touching of the same design. Is it safe to unpick the stitches and reverse the squares where the same color is not touching? Thank you.

you can--I would pin the squares you are removing so they don't shift. Having given my advice-I've never done that with a rag quilt but have with pieced quilt tops. In the long run even if they don't line up perfectly again I doubt you will be able to notice them once the quilt is finished and washed. Please post a picture when you are finished.

Maybe I should have asked if I should worry about this mistake. I sold it to a person who has not seen it, just to make her a quilt like one I made her before. Does this look bad? There are 2 places on the quilt where a mistake is made. I thought I added a picture.

Getting pictures to post can be frustrating! Keep trying, the two most likely culprits is that the file size is too large, despite what it says about file size, that's the maximum for all attachments. The other thing is finding the Upload button which is way out to the upper right of the box. There is also a time limit to how long you can edit your post...

I actually do that on purpose, the very first set of blocks. This way, it is intentional and not a mistake. Any other "matches" are serendipity.

I meant to add on my post that i probably would not bother with changing it. I don't think it would bother me but if it bothers you, it can be changed.

To add a pic you have to select Go Advanced. Select the paperclip icon. Be sure the upload page is full size as the upload button is way on the right of the page.

I would not worry about it, it's a rag quilt and mine are usually made out of scraps.

There is usually at least one mistake in a quilt. This one sounds like one I would leave alone. Getting your stitching where it would need to be may be a bigger challenge than necessary. Keep in mind you may have already cut to the stitch line. Of course you can do what ever makes you happy when making your quilt. I for one just can't wait to see it.
