    Oh, just be careful you don't clip too close to the seam...I found that even though the position of the tip of the scissors on the front was not dangerously close to the sewing, sometimes it would nip the stitching on the back, and I had to resew a quite a few places.

    I am making rag quilts and doing "snip as you go" Lol. It works just fine as long as you leave plenty for the seam! I have been stopping about 2 inches from the edge of my blocks (they will be sewn with 1 inch seams). I finished sewing one together last night and it's nice to have at least some of the snipping done!

    I said blocks, but I'm snipping only after I've sewn the blocks into rows...

    that's the way i do it...i clip as i go along so by the time i have it all put together all i have to still clip is around the outside.

    All of the above advice is good, that is what I do. Love making rag quilts, they go so fast.
