I was wondering if it is possible to make a rag quilt using wool pieces. Has any one tried this? Should the wool be washed first? Any help would be appreciated.

If it were me, and the quilt is going to be used frequently, I would wash/felt it first and then cut and sew it together. It won't rag like cotton/flannel will, but you could still clip the seams and it would have the raggy look.

Thanks ....I think that felting is a good idea. Probably would not have to line it or back it either. Beautiful on both sides. Thanks again. Lois
