    I would think it would do OK. Personally, I prefer using a regular thread for quilts that will be used as I like the feel of regular thread better.

    My own preference for a rag quilt would be for regular thread. I like the feel better, and it will get washed a lot.

    Thinking......so for free motion quilting do any of you use the clear nylon thread? I just didn't know if that was a thread I should stay completely away from then :( I've made about 5 rag quilts using the clear for the X's. I hope they hold up. Thanks a bunch for the tips. Oh, do you all use cotton or a cotton/poly mix? I'm thinking mostly cotton.
