I honestly don't remember how many I put in the quilt. I alternated the design with a small print which was predominately red with flowers. it turned out to be a large baby quilt.
As to availability, you would have to check with a store that sold Viking designs. I think the best bet would be a Viking Sewing Gallery since they can contact other VSGs nationwide for a search. VSGs are usually in a Super Joann's.

hi quiltykitty, i have these designs too. they came with the viking sewing and embroidery machine in 2001.designer1. they are put out by simon and schuster,inc. they are for the 4 x 4 hoop. can not be made and sold, i have tried to reach them to see if copyright laws have expired as they are pretty old now. i wanted to make them for my ebay store, but without permission i don't dare. if anyone gets any new about them, please post.
