Also, if you find out what machine your 'wrong' walking foot fits, someone here might like to buy it.[/quote]

How can I find that out.
My gosh I just tried the one from my old manual machine, it almost fits. I just sewed a binding on a kids quilt & it sewed perfectly. It just fits too closely to bed of machine when presser foot is lifted. Have to do some extreme tugging & pulling to get the sandwich under there.

Here are pictures of the "wrong" walking foot I have. There are no markings, i.e. manufacturer, model number, etc., so I cannot begin to guess what machine it would fit, although I did get it from a Singer dealer. If you think you can use it, or would like to try it, send me a PM and I will send it to you.

Thanks for the offer. The one from my manual machine is very similar to yours except mine has a straight bar instead of the fork. I sure wish there was a way to tell which machine they are for so we could pass them on to someone else.

Can you take the foot & the machine back to the dealer and ask them how to put it on?

No, it would cost way too much, At least $100 to use the ferry both ways.
